小田城、その跡地は新緑で美しい場所になっています。 
ほんの数年前は、荒涼たる雰囲気で放置されていたように思います。 
変われば、変わるものですね。
 美しく整備されてみると、この土地の良さが実感できる気もしてくるので不思議です。
戦国時代の小田城は、
『どうしてそこまでしてこだわって、獲ったり盗られたりを繰り返すんだろう？』
と疑問でした。
 けれども月日が経過して、色々なことを学んだり、それとなく忘れたりするうちに、 小田城をめぐる攻防戦の数々にも、惹かれるものがでてきました。
小田城跡でキャンドルナイト。ちょうど満月の夜ですね。

しかも5月の満月は、特別だといわれています。
美しいイベントを通して、今までとは違った解釈が誕生してくれるといいなあ。
 小田城、小田氏治、かなりマイナスイメージが強かったので。
 小田城城主・小田氏治が率いていた家臣団の団結や、土浦城との関係などは、10代の頃にはわかりにくく感じていました。
ここ数年の「つくばりんりんロード」がらみで注目されるたびに、新しい視点に気づけたりして、「おや？」と、おくればせながら魅力に気づくようになりました。

「戦国最弱」小田氏治がゆく

いろいろな人生を知ることで、さまざまな学びが得られます。 
10代の頃は、単純に「好き嫌い」だけの判断が多かったと思います。
20代あたりから「もしもこのひとが親だったら」や「上司だったら」という視点で見るようになりました。
それがいつしか「同い年！」とか、ですからね。
最近は、

が、そのものズバリ言い当てていて、的確に捉えているなあと感嘆しました。

土浦城城主・菅谷勝貞・政貞の親子は、小田家の家臣です。
小田氏治は小田城を奪われるたびに土浦城に逃げのびます。
すると菅谷政貞は、小田城を奪回します。
ふたたび小田氏治が小田城に戻り、また奪われて土浦城に逃げて、菅谷氏が奪い返す。
何度も何度も何度でも。
菅谷勝貞は、ずっと小田氏を支えています。
まさに「土浦城ちゃんが小田城ちゃんを守るために努力している」そのまんまです。
The parents and children of Tsuchiura Castle, Katsusada Sugaya, and Masasada are vassals of the Oda family. Ujiharu Oda escapes to Tsuchiura Castle every time he is robbed of Oda Castle. 本棚の断捨離中ですが、「本間宗久相場三昧伝」を20数年ぶりに本棚から引っ張り出して見ました。当時の価格は1600円でしたが、現在は絶版でアマゾンでもプレミアが付いてます。

20代に読んだ時は、全く心に響かなかったのですが今読んで見ると、かなり感銘を受けました。やはり「歴史は繰り返す」のかなと思いました。
