夜明けのブレス　　Breath of Dawn

好きな曲を何度も繰り返しきいたこともあれば、決して多い回数とはいえないのに強く印象に残っている曲もあります。チェッカーズの曲の中では断然「ギザギザハートの子守唄」が好きなんですが深く印象に残り続けた曲として挙げられるのは「夜明けのブレス」です。
昨夜は中秋の名月＆満月いかがお過ごしでしたか。久しぶりに「夜明けのブレス」を聴きました。ＭＶは初めてな気がします。

There are times when I listen to my favorite songs over and over again, and there are also songs that I haven't listened to many times but that leave a strong impression on me. Of the Checkers' songs, I definitely like "Jagged Heart Lullaby," but the song that has left a deep impression on me is "Breath at Dawn." How was your time with the harvest moon and full moon last night? It's been a while since I listened to "Breath at Dawn." I think this is the first time I've seen the music video.


夜明けのブレス

夜明けのブレスを演奏しているステージを見たとき、とてつもなく静謐に感じられました。1990年のリリースだったのか、と改めて気づいたところです。その頃は仕事終わりに仲間とドライブによく出かけたんですが、BGMをかけまくるときと全く音楽を聴かずにいるときの両方がありました。音楽を聴かずに外の空気感とか風の気配を聴いていたというか。音楽がないと自然や人の呼吸のリズムだとか血液の速さのようなメロディを体が感じていた気がします。カセットテープの音楽がない状態だからこその自然な音。で、車窓の彼方に空、ちらちらと海。夜明けを見たことがあったかどうかは定かではないですが、「夜明けのブレス」を聴くと『ああ、車で海に行って夜明けに流れてたなあ』なんていう気がしてくるわけです。心地良い錯覚。

実際に見ていたのは地下鉄から地上に出たときに見た朝の空と職場近くの海と運河の色。あの当時の日常の記憶と入り混じって、不思議な気分で聴き返しました。そうそう、チェッカーズ公式チャンネルが開設されたのでMVを見たところです。

I just realized that it was released in 1990. At that time, I often went on drives with my friends after work, and there were times when I would play a lot of background music and times when I would not listen to any music at all. It was like I was listening to the atmosphere outside and the wind without listening to music. I feel like my body feels the melody of nature and the rhythm of people's breathing and the speed of blood without music. It's a natural sound that can only be heard without the music of cassette tapes. And beyond the car window, the sky and the sea flickering. I'm not sure if I've ever seen dawn, but when I listen to "Breath of Dawn," I feel like, "Ah, I used to drive to the sea and hear the music flowing at dawn." It's a comfortable illusion. What I was actually looking at was the morning sky I saw when I got out of the subway and the colors of the sea and canal near my workplace. It mixed with my memories of my daily life at that time, and I listened to it again with a strange feeling. Oh, by the way, the Checkers' official channel has been opened, so I just watched the music video.
