Idle days: Summer slowly turns to autumn

お盆の行事の精霊流しと万灯流しが行われたと思ったら、
すぐに風が秋っぽくなってきました。
東京は35度を超えているようですが、九州は30度超え程度です。
今日は朝からエアコンも不要で風が涼やかに変わってきました。
夕方4時近くなっても室内は30度を切っていて、
北側の部屋は扇風機だけで汗もかかずです。
季節の移ろいは地球温暖化と言われてもまだしっかりと残っています。
これからお彼岸にかけてもっと秋らしくなっていくのでしょう。
すでに立秋が過ぎて残暑になっていますが、
湿度が低めで東京の夏とはうってかわった残暑です。
日本の中でもこんなに違うのかと、
東京の気だるい暑さに辟易していた頃を思い出します。
東京の夏はもういいかなぁ～と思う次第です。
調べ物をしているとあっという間に一日が過ぎていきます。
思いもよらない知識がついて毎日を面白く過ごしているのは
とても有意義なひとときです。
季節を感じながら生活できるのは日本のよさであることを
改めて感じるこの頃です。

It seems that the temperature in Tokyo is over 35 degrees, but in Kyushu it is only over 30 degrees. This morning, we didn't need air conditioning and the wind has become cooler. The change in the seasons is still evident, even though they say it is global warming. It will probably become more autumnal from now until the equinox. The beginning of autumn has already passed and the heat is still lingering, but the humidity is low and it is a lingering heat that is a stark contrast to the Tokyo summer. I remember when I was fed up with the dreary heat in Tokyo, wondering how different it is even within Japan. I'm thinking that I'm done with the Tokyo summer now. When I'm doing research, the day passes by in the blink of an eye. It's a very meaningful time to be able to spend each day having fun and gaining new knowledge. I'm reminded once again that being able to live in harmony with the seasons is one of the great things about Japan.

全国の35℃以上の猛暑日の地点数は、5年間の平均ですと8月11日がピークとなります。
7月1日から9月30日までの猛暑日の地点数は、
2019年は合計3188地点
2020年は合計4747地点
2021年は合計2480地点
2022年は合計3141地点
2023年は合計7070地点
でしたが、8月16日までに
2024年は合計7042地点となっており、猛暑の夏です。
既にピークは過ぎているので、体調に気を付けて残りの夏を過ごしたいです。
