今読んでいる本がなかなか進まないです。
小林秀雄さんの「考えるヒント3」
話が難しいというより、ロシアの文豪の話が多くて人の名前がなかなかよくわからずです。
もともとロシア文学は苦手であまり読んでいないので
特にそう感じるのかもしれません。
人名が舌をかみそうな名前で大変・・・
考え方が難しい・・・
そんな印象です。
講演記録が入っているので、話を聞いている人が大勢いたことになるけれど、難しい話に興味をもった人がたくさんいたんだなぁという感想です。
それに比較してみると、イギリスやアメリカの英語圏の言葉はなじみやすい気がします。
勝手に自分の中で方向性が定まってしまったのかもしれません。
大人になってくるとかなり選り好みをして本を選びませんか？
実際に小説はジャンルが偏重していて、好きなものばかり読むことが多いです。
作家好みにしても同じことです。
古典を読もうとか、日本の小説を読もうとか意識はしていても、なかなか好みから脱却することが難しいです。
ニュースを見て気になることを本で読んでみればいいものを
そのまま流してしまうのはなんだかもったいない気がします。
ただ読むペースが追いついていかないので、それも大変かもしれない。
数ヶ月ごとにテーマを変えて本を読んでみるといいと聞いたことがあります。
現在それに挑戦中で、作家にこだわって読んでいるが、
なかなか先に進まなくて、逆にイライラしてきてしまうことも・・・
ロシア文学も一度読み始めたことがあったのですが、
途中で挫折したような気がします。
どうも言葉がなじまない・・・
音の響きにのっていかないということなのかもしれません。
名作と言われるものはたくさんあるので、嫌いと言っていないで1冊完読してみればいいのかもしれません。
少し先の目標にしておきます。
