海を記念していてる祝日は、日本独自らしいですね。
海と縁のある国は多くても、「海の恩恵に感謝して、海洋国としての繁栄を願う」という趣旨で祝日にしているのは日本だけというのは意外だなと思いました。
連休にするために第3月曜日が海の日になりましたが、それ以前の7／20の印象が個人的に強いです。祝日ですがイベントに朝から出かけたりして、あわただしい一日だったような記憶があります。
『連休にするために第〇月曜日を祝日にする』のは、ハッピーマンデー制度にもとづいています。
2019年は、梅雨空のなかで「海の日」となりそうですが、海の幸をいただきながら祝うのも良いかもしれません。
The holiday commemorating the sea seems to be unique to Japan.
Although there are many countries that have a connection with the sea, I was surprised to find that Japan is the only country that celebrates it as a national holiday to express gratitude for the blessings of the sea and wish for prosperity as a maritime nation.
In order to make it a consecutive holiday, the third Monday became Marine Day, but I personally have a strong impression of July 20 before that. It was a public holiday, but I remember going out to events in the morning, and it was a busy day.
"Make the __th Monday a holiday to make it a consecutive holiday" is based on the Happy Monday system.
It looks like 2019 will be “Marine Day” in the rainy season sky, so it might be nice to celebrate while enjoying seafood.
