作詞は康珍化さんで作曲が林哲司さんとなれば、杉山清貴&オメガトライブの「サマー・サスピション」のコンビです。シティポップがシングルヒットを連発していく時代の幕開けの一曲となっています。
タイトル「悲しみがとまらない」のとうり、見事なストーリーが歌の中で展開されています。恋愛小説の短編を聴く感覚です。
