琉球あさがおって知っていますか？
私は引っ越しをしてくるまで知りませんでした。
普通のあさがおは小学1年生の夏休みの宿題の定番ですね！
最近でもまだあの植木鉢を抱えて、夏休みが始まる頃に自宅にもって帰る姿を見かけます。
でも、その種類とは別なのです。
琉球と名がつくくらいなので、主に沖縄に生息しています。
葉っぱが普通のあさがおよりかなり大きくてビックリするほどです。
5月の終わりに白の花が咲きました。1番で～す！
実をいうと、昨年は葉っぱのみでなぜか花がつかなかったのです。
マンションの近くではこの琉球あさがおが一杯咲いて種までつけていました。
種も普通のあさがおより大きいです。
今年はリベンジということで3色、苗をかってきて植えました。
他にも青と赤のつぼみを発見しているのでそのうちに咲きそうです。
花の咲く期間も長く、なんと12月でも咲いていることがあります。

花言葉は

『はかない恋』

『愛情の絆』

『明日も爽やかに』

です。

このあとつるをどうやって伸ばしていくのか？？？

ブーゲンビリアとまぜこぜになってしまいそうです。

育てているのは、実は私ではなく主人の趣味です。

私は眺める係で、ベランダを掃除するだけで・・・

今年は沢山咲くといいな！と思っています。

I didn't know until I moved.

Ordinary morning glory is a staple of summer vacation homework for first graders!

Even nowadays, I still see that flowerpot being held and taken home when the summer vacation begins.

But it's different from that kind.

Since it is named Ryukyu, it mainly inhabits Okinawa.

I was surprised that the leaves were much larger than the normal morning glory.

White flowers bloomed at the end of May. No. 1!

To tell the truth, last year there were only leaves and somehow no flowers.

Near the condominium, this Ryukyu morning glory was in full bloom and even seeded.

The seeds are also larger than normal morning glory.

This year, because it was a revenge, I picked up seedlings in three colors and planted them.

I have also found other blue and red buds, so they are likely to bloom soon.

The flowers bloom for a long time, and they may bloom even in December.

小判草という野草です。
群生していることが多いのですが、たまたま1本だけ生えているのを見かけました。
この写真は5月のGWの頃です。
俵になっている部分がまだ緑でした。
通常、この状態で茶花として添えて使うことがあります。
生けられているのを見て、名前を覚えました。
知らないと「雑草」と言われてしまう類の野草です。
でも雑草なんて本当はありません。
人間が名前を知らないだけだからです。
他の草花と一緒にされるのは人間の身勝手さからですね！

I remembered the name when I saw it alive.

It is a kind of wild grass that is called "weed" if you do not know it.

Because humans just don't know the name.

It is because of human selfishness that it is combined with other flowers!

このあと、3週間ほどたつと、こんな感じに俵の部分が黄色くなります。
この釣り鐘の部分がとても可愛くて、優しそうな印象を与える野草です。
決して1本だけでは生けてもらえません。
必ず他の野草と一緒です。
主役にはなれない山野草です。
鑑賞用に輸入されたようですが、育てられているのをみたことがないです。
ドライフラワーにも利用されるそうです。
実際に緑の状態でしたみたことがなかったので私はかなりウキウキしました。
見たことがないものを見た！って感じです。
宝物を見つけたような気分でした。
他に変わった草花はないかなといつも図書館までの道のりでよく探しています。
同じ道を何度通っても時折ひっそりとした目立たない場所で新たな発見があると感謝です。
地味な花も組み合わせ次第でとても引き立つので、知っていて損はないことです。
じんわりと湿度が上がってきました。
そろそろ梅雨入りが近くなっていますね。
