聴くたびに、違う表情があります。
楽曲だけの特性だけでなく、聴く側の変化も反映されるからでしょう。
想像の世界と、リアルの世界と、そのどちらも影響しあっていくからです。
ニューヨークに憧れているときの感情と、
実際に現地を訪問して現実を体感したあとの感覚、その違いや共通点。
聴き直すたびに、印象が変わります。良い意味での変化です。
けれども、良い意味で「変わらないもの」もあることに気づきます。
崎谷健次郎さんは『2年後に聴いても』という表現をしていました。
1987年に発表されたアルバムは、2年後の「Kiss of Life」の頃には、飛躍的に完成度を高めていた気がします。
楽曲がライブやコンサートを通じて、完成度を高めていくことは多いですよね。
