群馬県立ぐんま天文台は、磯崎新さんの設計です。

建物も魅力的ですが、敷地内にあるストーンヘンジに似ているモニュメントも強烈なインパクト。

 なにがモチーフになっているの？


群馬県立ぐんま天文台のモニュメントは、二種類あります。

それぞれに、モチーフとなったものがあり、

・ストーンヘンジ

・ジャンタル・マンタル

です。


ストーンヘンジはイギリス！1986年にユネスコ世界遺産登録

ユネスコ登録名は、「ストーンヘンジ、エーヴベリーと関連する遺跡群」

ジャンタル・マンタルはインド！大きな日時計で2秒を刻む！？

ジャンタル・マンタルは、インドの天体観測器。18世紀のもの。

大きいのに、とても細かく時を刻む日時計、2秒単位だそうです。
ぐんま天文台を「天文テーマパーク」にするにあたって、磯崎新さんが「ジャンタル・マンタル」をモチーフに選んでいます。

天空の城？本格的な天体観測をどうぞ！


ストーンサークルは、モチーフに似せたデザインのものということになるのでしょうが、しっかりと太陽の動きを観察できます。

季節の変わり目、春分・秋分・夏至・冬至には、わかりやすいと思います。


特別な日でなくても、精巧さと緻密さは肌で感じられるので、ぜひ自分の足で立って見てください。

空気が透明さを増す冬の天体観測は見事ですが、大自然の中ではいつでも素敵です。

これからの季節は初夏の新緑の美しさも格別！

早咲きの桜と言えば、有名なのは「河津桜」でしょうか。
年明け早々から咲き始める品種もあるそうです。
静岡県の河津川、その川沿いに咲く姿は圧巻！
でも「河津桜」だけでは、ありません、早咲きは。

たとえば、こちら。イズタガアカです。



イズタガアカを漢字にすると、
「伊豆多賀赤」
やはりというか、伊豆なんですよね。
満開になると、とても色あざやかです。艶やかといったほうがいいかもしれませんね。

桜といえばソメイヨシノが大人気！もはや定番という気がしますが、早咲きの桜も風情があります。

梅、桜、白木蓮、と一斉に満開になっている景色なんて見事です。

清水公園の桜に関するお土産


千葉県野田市にある清水公園は、柏屋五代目・茂木柏衛さんが「聚楽園」として開園したのが始まり。ちなみに、茂木柏衛さんの御子息は初代キッコーマン社長。千葉県野田市は醤油の街です。

聚楽園から清水公園に名前が変わってからも、地元の人たちから愛され続けています。

清水公園への道は「参道」と呼ばれているのですが、これは「聚楽園・清水公園」の敷地が金乗院の門前の林だったから。

金乗院は、いまなお壮麗な雰囲気をたたえ続けています。

お土産と言えば、醤油。歩きまわって熱くなったら、醤油サイダーも美味しいですよ？
Shimizu Park, located in Noda City, Chiba Prefecture, began as "Jurakuen" by Mr. Kashiwae Mogi, the fifth generation of Kashiwaya. By the way, the son of Mr. Kashiwae Mogi is the first president of Kikkoman. Noda City, Chiba Prefecture is a city of soy sauce.

The road to Shimizu Park is called "Sando" because the site of "Jurakuen / Shimizu Park" was the forest in front of the Kinjoin.

Kinjoin continues to celebrate its magnificent atmosphere.

イズタガアカとは？



伊豆赤多賀は、寒緋桜と大島桜の交配品種です。

桜の品種に興味がなくても、「札」や「説明」を、ただなんとなく眺めているうちに、『以前にも見たことのある名前だ』と、思い当たるようになるかもしれません。

記憶は自然に蓄積されます。

むりして覚えようとしなくても「そういえば」な「うろ覚え」でも良いと思います。

Izu Akataga is a hybrid of cold scarlet cherry blossoms and Oshima cherry blossoms.
