時の記念日と知った瞬間に、なぜか頭の中で流れ始めた曲があります。

「時の扉」です。
WANDS
「世界中の誰よりきっと」の大ヒットのあとで、WANDSも、レーベルのビーイングも、のりまくりの時季でした。
「時の扉」と「恋せよ乙女」は、とにかく聴いて歌った印象が強いです。カラオケですね。アーティスト本人たちの歌と演奏よりも、カラオケで聴いた回数のほうが圧倒的に多い気がします。
ギターの旋律が懐かしいです。

しかもその記録、「日本書紀」にあります。
天智天皇の時代です。
「天智天皇十年四月辛卯条」とあります。
『置漏尅於新臺。始打候時動鐘鼓。始用漏尅。』と記述されていて、
「漏尅」＝「漏刻」＝「水時計」なんだとか。
さらには、

水時計は夜でも使えます。
日時計との違いが、そこですね。

「時の記念日」が制定されたのは、1920年です。
最近は毎日のように何かの記念日と出会いますが、「時の記念日」は歴史があります。

6月は祝日がありませんので、「時の記念日を祝日にしよう」という意見もあったそうです。
