The Former Kishi Residence in Higashiyama was quiet and quaint.

東山旧岸邸に行きました。
I went to the Former Kishi Residence in Higashiyama.

御殿場ＩＣから車で5分ほどの近くにある東山旧岸邸に行って来ました。1969年に建てられたので今年が築50年になるとのこと。岸 信介元首相が晩年の17年を過ごしたそうですが、長女の安倍洋子さんが市に寄贈されて現在に至りますが静かで趣がありました。

I went to the Former Kishi Residence in Higashiyama, which is about 5 minutes by car from Gotemba IC. Since it was built in 1969, this year will be 50 years old. Former Prime Minister Nobusuke Kishi spent 17 years in his later years, and his eldest daughter, Yoko Abe, was donated to the city to the present day, but it was quiet and tasteful.

Next door Toraya Kobo

隣のとらや工房は混んでいたので立ち寄ることが出来ませんでした。残念でした。
I couldn't stop by because the Toraya Kobo next door was so crowded. That's too bad.
