Part 5: Waiting for me ...
古の人々は、本当に自然と一体となって暮らしていたのですね。この恋文のような歌も、なにも屋外で、それも雨に濡れながら詠まなくてもいいのに……、って思ってしまいますが、そこが日本古来の風流なところかもしれませんね。
我を待つと君が濡れけむあしひきの山のしづくにならましものを（一〇八 石川郎女）
🌸わたしを待っている間に、あなたを濡らしてしまったという、その山の雫にわたしもなりたいものですわ……。
🍁この一首は、奈良時代の女流歌人、石川郎女（いしかわのいらつめ）が、大津皇子が贈った、「あなたをお待ちしていて、わたしは、山が降らす雫にすっぽりとぬれそぼっております」といった歌への返歌です。
💡「あしひきの」は、山や山を含む言葉にかかる枕詞です。それにしても、戸外で雨に濡れながら佇んで相手のことを思う、など、悠長というか風流というか、そういったいにしえの人々の生き方に、便利さだけを求めているわたしたち、学ぶこと、たくさんありそうですね。
