「KISSの花束」は崎谷健次郎さんのデビュー曲「思いがけないSITUATION」のカップリング曲で、映画「いとしのエリー」にも流れています。
もちろんファーストアルバム「DIFFERENCE」にも収録されています。アルバムの曲順で聴くと、「僕には君だけ」の次に流れてくるので、潮風感が強まります。
イントロでロールしているリズムは、歌が始まったとたんに直線的な雰囲気になって、「お？」と、なります。海岸道路をドライブしていたら思いがけない場所に目が止まって「お？」と、なる感じです。
「KISSの花束」を聞いていると、オレンジ色の夕日が金色に見えて、鉛色の波打ち際は銀色に見えてきます。やがて波に金色も反映されます。
なんていうか、見えていないのに、視覚に影響してくる音色なのです。
実際に音楽を流していなくても、脳内再生でも効果は同じ。
むしろ、記憶をたよりに脳内再生させるほうが、色彩感覚が強まるかもしれません。

崎谷健次郎さんのライブは、バンドの演奏がすさまじいです。

歌詞の中に現れる「きんらめ」が、当時は「わかる。でも、わからない」な状態で、「きんらめってなに？」と友達や先輩に質問しまくっていた記憶があります。

歌詞の中の登場人物は、当時の自分よりも年上なのですが、すんなり入っていけます。
憧れというよりも、
『きっと自分も免許を取って、車を運転して、海岸線に車を停めるんだろうな』
と思っていました。
実際に免許を取ったのは、まだ先のこと。

記憶の中の当時も、目の前の現実も、勝手にミックスされて、ほどよい感じになります。
いろいろ忘れているからこそ、突出して輝いている思い出もあります。
そういう記憶や思い出を抜きにしても、音楽が素晴らしい。
あふれる音楽そのものに酔うことができるので、やはり「DIFFERENCE」は最高です。
