結城市のホタル祭りは、800匹。
ポップコーンが無料配布されます。

ホタルの季節なんですね。
もっと夏のイメージがありました。
なんとなくですが、ホタルを見たのが夏休みのような記憶があるからかも。
自然の中でも、意図的なものでも、それぞれに良さがあります。
なんていうか、呼び方は「放流」なんですね･･･

6／15・16の2日間でした。

15日は雨模様でしたが『放流したよ』という情報がありました。

玉川上水と神田川、それぞれに放流されたんですね。
It was released into Tamagawa Aqueduct and Kanda River respectively.


神奈川県湯河原町では、ほたるの宴が開催されました。
湯河原温泉の、万葉公園です。
「こごめの湯」で知られる有名な温泉地です。ゆあがりに飲む豆乳が最高に美味ですよね。私も行ったことあるのですが、あれは八月なのでほたるはいなかったのかな。どうかな。

万葉公園のほたるは、幼虫まで万葉公園内の“ほたる小屋”で飼育、3月中旬湯河原小学校１年生の手によって放流され、その後自然発生するほたるを皆様にご覧頂いております。

とのこと。
春に放流し、そこから自然発生していくのだそうです。
知る人ぞ知る、ほたるの名所といえば椿山荘でしょうか。

椿山荘

椿山荘は、もともと椿が自生していた土地でした。
パーティーの演出でほたる1万匹を庭に放ったことがあり、好評だったことからほたるの飼育にも取り組むようになったようです。
現在では、自生しているほたるも増えているんだとか。椿山荘で羽化するほたるだけでなく、野尻湖で飼育した成虫も放流されています。
Chinzan-so was originally a land where camellia grew naturally. At the party, 10,000 fireflies were thrown into the garden, and it was well received, so it seems that they started to raise fireflies. Nowadays, the number of fireflies that grow naturally is increasing. Not only fireflies that emerge at Chinzan-so, but also adults raised at Lake Nojiri are released.








等々力渓谷でもほたるが見られるときがあります。
Hotaru can sometimes be seen in Todoroki Ravine.










子どもの頃は近所でも飛んでいる姿を見ることができました。
そんなに遠い昔という感じでもないのですが、へただりがあります。
ホタルは「夏」というより「初夏」の風物詩なんですね。
あらためて、ほたるについて見識が広がりました。

    東京の椿山荘でホタルが自生しているのは知りませんでした。

      生命の底力を感じます。もともと水がキレイなのでしょうね。
