養老訓（養老孟司著）を読みました。
大活字本で借りてきたのですが、裏表紙に「社会福祉会」と記載があってびっくり！
最後のページを見たところ、限定部数500部とあって、発行者は「社会福祉法人　埼玉市福祉会」と書いてありました。
2014年の発行なので、5年前です。
活字が大きい本はそもそもは福祉のために作られたのでしょうか。
知らなかった・・・
字が大きくて小学1年生の教科書を思い出しました。
読みやすい！

I read Takeshi Yoro (written by Takeshi Yoro).

I borrowed it from a large print book, but I was surprised to find that the back cover says "Social Welfare Association"!

When I looked at the last page, there was a limited number of 500 copies, and the issuer was written as "Social Welfare Corporation Saitama City Welfare Association".

It was published in 2014, so it was 5 years ago.

Was the large print book originally made for welfare?

The letters were big and I remembered the textbook of the first grade of elementary school.

最近は大活字本の種類が多くなってきている感じがしました。
数年前は確かにバリエーションが少なかった気がします。
現在も福祉本の扱いなのでしょうか？
いや～、もっと沢山の本を大活字にしてほしい。ということは、自分の老眼がすすんでいる事？？？
今度、別の本の記載も見てみようと思います。
全然気にしていなかったのですが、知ると気になります。
福祉用ではなく、普通の本として出版してほしいなぁ。
気になって調べてみたら、やはり弱視の方用にNPO法人で製本をはじめたそうです。
神田の神保町には大活字本の専門店があるそうです。
金額が割高になるのと、出版点数が少ないのが悩みのようです。
確かに場所は取りますよね～。
1冊のものが2冊に分冊されていることも多いですから。
いつまでも好きな読書ができるような環境が整うといいなと改めて思いました。
