1部から7部までサブタイトルの「クリフトン年代記」を見逃してしまうと、

違う小説かと思ってしまうかもしれませんが、

話がずっと続いています。

次作の発表を待ちながら読み進んだ初めて本で、巡り会えたことがとても嬉しく思います。

通常は、話が完結している本に出会うことが多いですからね～

フィクションの人物の生から死までの話ですが、周囲の登場人物が入れ替わり立ち替わり話のメインに加わっている構成はとても面白いです。

登場人物の善悪がはっきりしているので、どんな企み？、どんな解決策を出す？と

思ったり・・

アーチャーの小説は議会の選挙戦を出すことが多いですが英国ならではの味が出ているような気がします。

他にも作品が多いので、是非手にとってみてくださいね。

アーチャーの作品に初めて出会ってから40年以上経過していますが、魅力は全く衰えていないことがとても嬉しいです。

マイ クラシック 佐藤隆

 

 佐藤隆さんの音楽には、お洒落な空気感が漂っています。が、心の深淵を覗き込まれてしまうような、なんとも言えない「ある種のコワさ」も感じてしまうのです。
いちばん最初に知ったのは「マイ クラシック」でした。1984年、夏。突如として耳にこびりついてしまった一曲です。
無機質なベースラインが、とてつもなく心地良くて、だけど、「え！　だれ？　なに、この曲」と、疑問符ばかり。
心地良くて素晴らしい音楽なんですが、どうにも『聴いたことない』『知らない』感が強烈にありました。
かといって、新人ではなさそうですし。
それまでは、知る人ぞ知る存在感だった気がします。

「マイ クラシック」

ああ。
むちゃくちゃ気持ちいいメロディライン。
歌詞の意味は、よく分かりませんでした。
が、『わかる』って感じてしまうわけです、
『うん。これ、わかるわかる』と。
なにがわかるのか分かりませんが、どうにも「香り」がするのです。
視覚に訴えてくるMVとも違いますし、聴覚を冴えさせる歌とも異質で、「マイ クラシック」が流れてくると、急に周囲の香りが気になりだすんですよ。
それも、自然な香りではなく、香水のほう。
行ったことのないパリを想像しながら、
「巴里の舗道を歩きながらウォークマンで聴きたい」
とか思ってました。
「マイ クラシック」と、ほぼ同じ時季に「桃色吐息」が大ヒットしています。
「桃色吐息」を歌っているのは高橋真梨子さんですが、『あ。この音楽は佐藤隆だな』とすぐピンと来たのも覚えています。
2020年、秋。
なぜか急に思い出して、ふたたび聴いています。
懐かしいというより、なぜか「いま」のような錯覚が自分の中に起きているので、もうしばらく何曲か聴くことにします。

と、うれしくなりました。

なんだか、うれしい。そういう気分です。

かつて、PASMOが私鉄だけしか利用できませんでした。

そんなふうに思いつつ、利用していたのです。

うれしかった。

ところでペイ系のペイペイやペイペイペイは、わかったようで分からないことが多いです。

映画「オリエント急行殺人事件」 ちょっと期待はずれ～ The movie "Murder on the Orient Express" was a bit disappointing

アガサ・クリスティのオリエント急行殺人事件の映画のリメイク版が放送されました。

色々な見方はあると思いますがポアロさんにちょっとがっかり。

俳優の方がよくないのではなくて、あの髭がNG

豪華キャストがウリだったのでしょうね。
