欄干は、ありません。

増水したときは、橋の上を水が流れていきます。

上流から材木などが流れてくることがありますが、

水位が高いので橋に激突しないで済むというシステム。

橋の安全のために、あえて冠水させてしまう。

「沈下橋」や「冠水橋」と呼ばれています。
