春めいてきたら聴きたい曲、「う、ふ、ふ、ふ、」

登場したのは1983年の春、それもまだ寒さあふれる季節の中でした。

体も心も春の暖かさを求めていた、そんなタイミングで耳がキャッチしたのがこの曲。

化粧品のコマーシャルソングです。

ラジオからも流れてくるし、街を歩けば聴こえてきます。

イントロから大好きなので、本当に流れてくると鳥肌モノ。

一瞬で「春！」ていうか、うきうきしてきます。

1983年の春は自分にとってはけっこう厳しい時期でしたが十代だからこそのエネルギーもあり、とにかく元気が出てくるような音楽を求めていました。

ここではないどこかではなく、いまここにいながら気分が一新されるような体感が欲しかったからでしょう。

EPOという名前はバンド名かなと思っていました。

演奏がバンドサウンドな感じがしたし、歌と演奏がハマっているだけじゃなくて勢いも感じられたからです。

コンサートに行ったクラスメイトは『レコードで聴くよりいい！』と絶賛していました。

1983年の春だけでなく、それからしばらく様々なシーンで聞くことも多かった気がします。だから1983年の春に見た土浦から筑波山への車窓と1985年の科学万博の景色が混ざりあって思い出されてしまうのです。
