パリを代表する観光名所のひとつ、シテ島。
シテ島には、ノートルダム大聖堂があります。

荘厳で、天井の高さにも圧倒されます。
美しいステンドグラスと、パイプオルガンの音色が素晴らしいです。

・ノートル「わたしたちの」
・ダム「貴婦人」
というフランス語で、
・ノートルダム「われらが貴婦人」
という意味です。
大聖堂に冠せられているノートルダム「われらが貴婦人」は、聖母マリアを指しています。

紀元前250年頃に、「パリシイ族」が移り住んできて、「パリ」という名前が定着していったんだそうです。
