まさしく桃源郷！！


毎年この時期になると「古河桃まつり」が開催されます。

桃の花。

「桃の節句」とは、ちょっとだけ時季がずれますが、見事な桃色の花で彩られます。


花がきれいなのはもちろんですが、

いい感じで「満開！」を目の当たりにすると、

ぞわぞわするくらいの艶やかな色彩の立体感です！

古河城主が領地に桃の種を！


かつて、古河藩主・土井利勝が、

「成長が早いので薪になるし、果実は美味しく食べられる！」

と栽培を始めたのが、

茨城県古河における「桃の花」の歴史的な始まりだそうです。

江戸で家臣の子どもたちに桃の種を拾い集めさせた、

というエピソードが伝わっています。

桜の開花もニュースで賑わっていますが、ぜひ桃の花も！



「古河桃まつり」は、およそ17万人が訪れるといわれるイベントです。

桜のお花見よりも、ちょっとだけ早めなタイミング。


夏は花火大会もあります！

夏の恒例、花火大会。

まだ春が始まったばかりですが、夏が待ち遠しいです🎵

古河名物はパン？ぎょうざです！

初夏並みに暑い日でも、美味しい！！

甘酒と一緒に食べると格別です。
