原美術館が近くにありますよね。

御殿山とは？

江戸時代に将軍の御殿（館）がありました。江戸への入り口という立地、品川宿を見下ろせる高台。

「御殿山大茶会」は、長府藩主・毛利秀元が主催した茶会で、その場所が品川御殿でした。

この「品川御殿」が「御殿山」の名前の由来になったようです。

JR＆りんかい線・大崎駅からは、ちょっとぐるりと旋回するような道筋になります。居木橋から御殿山通りを登るコースは、とくに新緑の季節がおすすめ。とても気持ちいい！

御殿山の界隈は、直結している駅がなく、どの駅前からも離れているのですが、何度か通うように散歩をしているうちに、すごく近くに感じられます。

新元号「令和」が発表されました。
出典は「万葉集」で、しかも歌ではなく「序文」だそうです。
出典が日本の書物というのは初めて。

「気淑く」を「きよく」と読むのが素敵だなと思いました。

万葉集の和歌ではなく「序文」から


序文には、

歌会・宴の雰囲気が現わされているんだとか。



歌の内容を説明する序文もあれば、

全体の総まとめの序文もあるそうです。

今回、選ばれた序文は、

大伴旅人の屋敷で梅の花を詠む宴、その情景を伝えている、

 というもの。

 梅ですね。




梅の白さと蘭の香りが対になって表現


女性が鏡の前で白粉・おしろいを塗る場面を表現していて、

おしろい→当時の梅は「白」だけだった（まだ紅梅はない）とのこと。


帯についている飾り、そこに香り袋がついていて、蘭の香りがしているようです。

新元号が発表されることはニュースで知っていましたし、

昨日は『平成最後の日と言っている人がいるけれど今日は平成最後の日じゃないよ』という話題も見かけました。

あとで、夕方のニュースなどで再放送的に見れるかなと思っていたのですが、まだ見れていません。

こちらは雷雨に見舞われましたので建物の中に引っ込んで、ちょっとNHKの番組を見ることができました。そのときに「万葉集に詳しい専門家」の先生が、出典や言われなどを話していましたので、さらりとですがメモしておきました。

初めて聞く話、初めて見る文字、さらに万葉集ということで、ついイメージをふくらませていました。

未知の情報に触れたので、聴き間違いやメモ間違いもあるかもしれませんが、まずは「当日の雰囲気・空気感」として。

かたくるしい漢字というよりも、梅の花の香りと、美しい女性のイメージで、色香にあふれていて素敵な雰囲気だなあと、まるで絵師さんの梅萌えイラストを見ているような錯覚にひたってます。
